How did you manage to get credit a couple of months after being discharged? I thought that the bankruptcy stayed on your credit file for 6 years. I was also under the impression that your name stayed on the insolvency register for ever, is this not true then?0

bankruptcy does stay on your file for 6 years.
there is nothing to stop you getting credit but most people won't touch a br with a barge pole and it is likely to be at very unfavourable rates. some people use high APR credit cards to rebuild their credit rating.
i think your name comes off the insolvency register, but stays in the Gazette forever0 -
