With 54GB of music on iTunes I used SyncToy obviously without understanding the prog. I clicked the syncronise button and now my hard drive is full as is my external hard drive. I still have 54 GB of music. What has filled up my hard drive? How do I find it and remove? Help please.

It syncs between two drives, so it'll replicate, "sync" what is on one, so there is an identical copy on the other. So it's working correctly Then depending on the options if you delete from one, on next sync, it'll delete the same items (or leave them) on the other.
If you want to move your music to the external drive, you don't need synctoy, just move the folder, drag with right mouse button and choose move, but be sure to tell your music app (iTunes etc) where the music has moved to...0 -
Any thoughts on how I find all my duplicate music so I can free up my hard drive?0

Well presumably you have the location which you used to Sync it to the other drive with SyncToy? So just go to that and remove it / folders from the C drive, but beware, if you then use SyncToy again, it'll resync and potentially delete all your music, depending on your settings and which is the master folder used to Sync/Echo etc. Best to remove SyncToy, and if you want to be 100% safe, remove the copies on the external drive and move the music folder manually to the external drive.
iTunes Music on Windows is usually stored in: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
But you can put it anywhere, but you have to tell iTunes via the Preferences where it is!0
