Just ordered 2 pairs :T
we shall see what they are like when i get them. I have always been wary of getting specs on line before, but my last pair were £256, and I cant afford that now:cool::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
This seems an incredible offer for those who have a reasonable prescription, but as ever when you need a -20 lense you have to pay through the nose. Not much choice of frames either as the lenses are so heavy.0

SelectSpecs doesn't get very good reviews on consumer websites. Too many negative ones for my liking.

what about high prescriptions, nobody seems to want to know, but have a wee giggle when you mention your prescriptionHi everyone, I noticed that selects specs had responded so I though no harm would be done to answer some points!! I work for glasses2you.co.uk and we do dispense varifocals online very successfully. We do this by means of a digital photo of the customer wearing their existing glasses . We then load this into our virtual mirror and the chosen glasses are then shown exactly to scale. Our mirror allows us to meassure the fitting height required and work out the individual pupillary distance measurments. To date we have been about 98% succesful which is better then the industry standard I believe. I hope this is helpful as I thought it would be useful to answer this point directly.
Thanksplease do not pick on me for my grammar,I left school at fifteen and worked in the building trade for 55years ,

How is it a false economy?
I can pay £100 from specsavers for 1 pair of specs and they last maybe 2 years (If I am lucky and my prescription doesn't change or they don't get damaged) or I can pay £20 online and change them up to 5 times during those 2 years if I get bored of them.
Or am I missing something

I have tried select specs on the phone and they just have an answer machine saying send us an email. I personally wouldnt be happy buying from a compnay that you cannot contact0

I took advantage of this deal. I ordered and paid for spectacles. I forgot something so cancelled order just ten minutes afterwards. The company emailed back and refused to accept cancellation saying the specs were already in production!
Ten minutes, I dispute that very much.0
