Paypal Chargebacks - Help

money2008
In the last month I have had two paypal charge backs, I need to know if I am able to reverse the chargeback
1st
I sold an item on ebay to a person in Austrailia, sent to the address on paypal
(unconfirmed) Paypal showed
the green tick to say okay to post. I posted the item by Royal Mail International Signed for
4 weeks after I posted the item I received a charge back notification – I gave Paypal all of the information I had,
tracking number, details of address and ebay details of the buyer, I sent off for Confirmation of delivery but I have not
received this from Royal Mail
2nd
Last week I sold an item to a ebayer in the UK – Sent to the paypal address which was (unconfirmed) but
Paypal showed the green tick to say okay to post, so I posted this item to the address via Royal Mail next day
special delivery. The very next day I received a charge back notification email from Paypal they were holding
my money and investigating this transaction. I again supplied all of the relevant information Tracking numbers
etc etc
Now both times they have favoured the seller/credit card company
What am I supposed to do as I have lost the items and had to payout for the charge back. I think Paypal are very unfair
And do not take into consideration that we have lost money? Is there anyway I can dispute these chargebacks and try
To retrieve some money back? It now totals £100 at that’s a lot of money for a small business to lose.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Many Thanks

Sorry - no answer ,but I am interested to see some as well - have not had this happen to me yet ( touch wood ) ( just sent 2 separate £35 plus items out ,with just proof of posting coverage ) - but the odds are its bound to happen sometime
- this cant be right though ,there must be some form of redress otherwise the whole Ebay / Paypal system would colapse under the strain of people doing this sort of shyster stuff - if Ebay are insisting on Paypal payments only ,then there must be cover0 -
More info is needed here, firstly are these recent cases, less than 6 months old (as the rules changed)?
Number 1)..How did you post ? I am assuming international signed for which unfortunately does not guarantee a signature on delivery and cannot therefore guarantee to dispute a chargeback. Only airsure guarantees a signature but the Catch 22 situation is that you can't use Airsure to Australia. If your international signed for had shown up online as tracked, and I assume from your post that it didn't, then you would have won the claim. However like all paypal transactions a seller cannot win a paypal chargeback with just proof of postage, which is in effect what you had.
However assuming item was less than the £39 covered by standard international signed for you can claim it back as a loss from RM.
number 2) What sort of chargeback was the second claim, was it a simple not received, or was it fraudulent use of a card. Did you actually enter the full tracking into paypal and did it show item was delivered? If so and assuming you fulfilled the other requirements (posted within 7 days etc) appeal paypal's decision as with online proof of delivery you should not lose a chargeback.
If it was a fraudulent use of a card claim then you actually only needed proof of postage, anad again if that is the case appeal.
Harrass paypal, open a formal complaint with them online and get them to reopen the cases.
