Selling house, own photos?

Hi,
We're getting agents round to value our place in the next couple of week. Do you think agents would use photos that we provide of our house? Two reasons really .. one, I'd like the exterior taken without the cars in the drive and on a nice sunny day to make it look better - also with a little baby it's hard to keep things tidy, so if we took the interior photos at our own pace it might be better.
I know some use weird lenses to make things look bigger .. so perhaps I'd be better off with the agent taking them?
Just a few thoughts ..

Why not ask them to arrange a time to come to take photos when it is convenient for you?
Then clean the house, move the cars, & hope for sun.
The baby isn't an excuse for mess
(although they can be messy)...it's not just the photos you have to tidy up for. Ask for a couple of hours notice before viewings to scoop toys into a box. 0 -
You mean it's too much trouble to move the cars out of the drive when the agent is there ....?0

Never heard of an agent using anything more weird than a wide angle lens and in my case 26/27mm. Seen plenty of agents not suing wide angle (36/38mm) and getting/using rubbish shots - look through Rightmove for plent of evidence.
It was easy for me as I love photography, as a hoby, and if the shot was taken on a gloomy day I would go back and re-take as soon. so should any decent agent.
Do you have a wide angle lens and can you take good shots. If so do them and tell the agent to use them providing you have not airbrushed out the huge pylons next door;)
Remember the agent is working for you and the details, including all pics, are for you to approve, ask for better, or to be altered in any way you feel fit.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. Super, thanks everyone.
I might take a few and see how they come out. It's really the exterior ones that I wanted to look nice .. and no, I'll leave the pylons in :-)0 -
I did my work experience at an estate agents. You'd be suprised the number of people that wanted to use their own photo's. We could only use them if it gave a true representation of the house (so I'm assuming there'll be no problems). You'd be suprised how many people wanted to use the photo's of their house that were taken years ago when the house looked nice and now they'd not taken care of it.This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0

A wide angle lens would be around the 12-17mm.... and their expensive. The agents dont have them either. Thats why their pics always miss out half the room! Do your own, let them do theirs and you can mix and match!

I've always done my own photos! I let the EA do theirs as well but always chuck mine in the mix and then we can pick the best. No harm done!0

Our EA photographed our house on a really bright and sunny day, and the external photo didn't come out well as the sun was behind the house at the time. I took one later that day when the sun moved - he was perfectly willing to pop back but I beat him to it and emailed him the better photo!0
