Am Furious! Waiting lists in excess of 200 and Council selling off allotment sites!

Hi all,

Quick update:

I have contacted BBC southern counties to tell them the story in the hope they will feature it at some time. Have also written to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and posted on Rivercottage forum.

Chair of Federation of Hastings and St Leonards Allotments has written to Council to challenge over legality of closure of allotments!

Frustratingly, no one has still contacted me who is on a waiting list. So, I am going to pop into the local food/organic shops down here to ask them if they won't mind posting up a flyer advertising the situation in the hope to raise awareness.
