The HYP has become popular during a period that has favoured "income" rather than "growth".
Not so. The principle has existed for many years, in different guises, and there are plenty of long-term successful HYP investors. Just because income funds became popular with IFAs doesn't mean that HYP investing is popular, by the way.0 -
I never said it wasnt there in the past. I just said it is the current fashion. I also didnt say it was popular with just IFAs. It has generally become popular through most distribution channels.
It still doesnt change the fact that at various times, growth portfolios will out perform income and vice versa.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
