loaded life edownment policy

Back in 1991 when my husband and I took an endownment policy to cover extra mortgage with Scottish Provident I was asked for a medical to be carried out. I wasn't in top quality health but had no life threatening health issues. My policy after the medical went from £34.06 per month to £36.54 an increase of £2.48 per month. I know it's not a lot of extra money but it is the principal of the matter. Is it now legal for Companies like Scottish Provident to load policies (when not life threatening health problems) and can I complain now or claim it back.

Why wouldnt it be? They offered you a price for accepting their product and you took it. You were higher risk and they costed that into their premium (which with endowments was often averaged over the term as you cannot amend the premium without breaking qualifying rules).

no you cant.
