gas and elecric metres

im with british gas prepay metres for both gas and electric. just wondered if anyone knew how i could go about changing the metres to normal ones so i could pay with a paper or online bill? thanks :A :female:

    As far as I know, you just have to contact the relevant supplier and ask to go back to a credit agreement system. If you have them because of having had a debt with them in the past then they may ask for an upfront deposit, and presumeably will do a credit check in any instance (according to BG's website).

    We have them, and generally speaking have decided to keep with them as it makes budgeting really easy and no unexpected bills to pay.
