Do Nationwide do upgrades from standard to gold?

I've had a nationwide classic card since June 2006. I run it very well except for a couple of hiccups you will see documented in my thread history but each time they have accepted responsibility and refunded any charges.
I was just wondering if anyone had been able to upgrade from the classic to the gold as I see it offers some extra benefits?
Many thanks

Not sure what those extra benefits are ... they aren't highlighted on the home pages for the classic/gold cards:

The APR is lower on gold ... and if you were a new customer you'd get 0% on purchases for 3 months - but since you've already had the CC - you wouldn't get that under Nationwide's T&Cs.
But beside that - you need to be over 25 and be earning over £25k (see the gold homepage) - and I doubt Nationwide will upgrade having read stories about their reluctance to upgrade people from basic current accounts to the flexaccount.

I can't see why they would want to move you over to a lower rate card, this is something you would have to request.I'm going for my QuidCo £million!
