Many sufferers, don't realise that due to many Bowel disorders the need to go to the Toilet "urgent" can be very limiting when going out and about, however anyone suffering from IBS and other bowel problems are entitled to apply for a "disabled" toilet key under the RADAR scheme. Since being diagnosed with IBS and devaticulitis, my social life has suffered, i had to stop going out to the theatre, as when the interval came if i needed the toilet i could not wait. Now i can use the disabled toilet in an emergency, using the key. I only use these in an emergency, but thanks to Radar i am now more confident about visiting the theatre and shows. the key only costs a few pounds , but of course larger donations are always welcome. If you google RADAR key scheme you should get the site.

The Crohns and Coliits Association also will give members a 'can't Wait' card which expalins the cardholder has a Chronic (Non contagious) disease and needs to use the toilet facilities urgently.0
