hi
i am going to finally get round to claiming my fees from HSBC, been having charges for 3 years or so now,
i understand i need to send a letter with a token payment requesting info on the amount & then request this in full
however , its all on hold atm, but financial hardship cases are being dealt with
i am in full time emplyment, however through my own doing i have debt on credit cards, and still have my student overdraft..over the overdraft limit as i type
can i claim financial hardship, as I owe a lot, got a maxed out overdraft and continually go over the limit
thanks

HSBC are one of the tougher ones and will try and take through hell and high water before they payout. If you have priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities) then you might stand a chance. I would put a claim in anyway.0 -
I am going to claim about 5 years worth of overdraft charges with HSBC. I have current debts with HSBC among others and am currently paying Metropoliton Collection a token amount a month.
I am now with Barclays bank for my main account but when I claim will the fact that I have debt with HSBC effect my claim?0 -
Metropolitan are HSBC in house debt collectors. In fact Metropolitan employees are paid by HSBC Bank.I am going to claim about 5 years worth of overdraft charges with HSBC. I have current debts with HSBC among others and am currently paying Metropoliton Collection a token amount a month.
