Balance Transfer 0% ending - question on when interest will apply

I have £3500 on an Amazon card - 6 months 0% interest on balance transfers. The six month period ends on 28 March.
I applied for a HSBC card at the beginning of February but have yet to receive it, they assure me it is now in the post. I want to transfer the £3500 from Amazon to the HSBC card but with a week to go this is unlikely to be processed before the 28th.
Will I be charged interest from Amazon on the £3500 from the 28th or will I have until to the payment date on my next bill (28 Apr) to settle it in full without incurring interest?

I would assume by past experience that you will start accuring interest after 28th March until the day the balance transfer takes place, then next months statement will show that interest.
If HSBC say they have sent card, can't you ring up and ask them to do balance transfer now, if you have been approved for card they should be able to do that ?Official DFW Nerd - Member no. 045
