Court not returned license?

I recieved a fixed penalty notice, made payment to the Court and handed my license into the Police as required. This was at the start of April and i still haven't recieved my license back with the endorsement!! (It was 3 points and no other offences so not banned or nowt)

Who do i contact to chase this matter...how long does it usually take for a return of the license, the police have been useless since they've grabbed my money? BTW its Merseyside Police.

  • From the DirectGov website:

"If your driving licence is not returned after being endorsed, you’ll need to contact the Fixed Penalty Office or court responsible for endorsing your driving licence."

In the first instance, call the Merseyside Police Endorsable Fixed Penalty (which is most likely your FPO) enquiry line on 0151 777 8864. Failing any help from them, either contact the court that dealt with the offence or contact the DVLA and see if they can help.

It only usually takes no more than 3 weeks for the return of your licence after handing it over for endorsement.

I'd go with titch's advice above. However, most FPO's/CTO's have a member of court staff in-house who carries out the necessary endorsing. Contacting the court is likely to be a fruitless journey.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Given the original post was over 2 1/2 years ago I would hope the OP has now got this sorted !
