Hi, i need help!

i recently got a debenhams store card (1st may) i wish i never agreed to it as i don't understand credit cards that well. i only signed up because i was in a hurry and forgotten to withdraw cash, they dont except my debit card and it was my last chance to get this outfit for my sisters wedding. i feel like such an idiot. anyway, i spent £120.50 (1st may) and my first statement hasn't arrived yet. i cant seem to find any information that says when the deadline is to pay this back. plus i need to refund some of it so if i do that after ive payed it off how will i get that money back? soooo confused help please.

Also, after its all done i want to cancel the card so if ive refunded some bits and it goes into credit how will i get that money back?

You should get your first statement a month after your purchase. You get 59 days from date of purchase to pay the balance before any interest is accrued.
Take your items back for refund now and the statement should be updated before the first month. If not, then pay the original balance and then your card will be in credit.
  • wish it could be that simple, that was my first thought. tried that and everytime i ring they are having technical difficulties and the phone times on the letter i have arent right because the message on their recording says they are closed those times
