Lloyds TSB - Debit Card

Options
Does anyone know when Lloyds TSB will stop issuing these horrible green 2012 debit cards? I opened a Classic Account with them and received this card and it's horrible. I did upgrade to a Silver account and was hoping I'd get a silver card with this account, but after ordering a replacement card, I received the green card.

It's not a huge problem, as it does what it needs to do, it just looks like a childrens fake bank card. I'd much rather have the horse card or some other card back.

Perhaps when the expiry date is past 2012?

They where 'limited edition'. 4 years of the same design isn't really limited edition....

When an ATM swallowed my snazzy 2012 debit card for my Classic Account the replacement reverted back to the standard black horse against green and blue banner, on a white card. Perhaps if you request a replacement card (saying your current one is damaged) they will issue you the bog standard debit card while still being able to use the 2012 card until the new one arrives.

However, I don't know why you would waste your time and money on a phone call to get a replacement when the new card will do the same job except look different. If it does really bother you though then that's an option to explore, personally, I quite liked my old 2012 card.
Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.

I'm with jambosans. I got a new one last month which had gone back to the usual horse. I liked the olympics one.

It's only a bit of plastic, as long as it works, why worry?;)

I couldn't care less if mine was yellow with pink spots on it, as long as it works... :D
