ESTA (and US Immigration) confusion!

Hello, first time poster here, after reading for quite a while. I hope someone can help.
I am travelling to America for a holiday later in the year and have already filled in and been accepted with my ESTA application. However I am travelling to America with work next month and have accidently filled (and been accepted) on a different ESTA application, but have found out that I actually have to apply for a Visa. I need a Visa because I am travelling next month as a diplomat with a separate passport to my normal leisure travel.
Is it possible to cancel an ESTA application? I can't see how online.
Does anyone know if it will cause a problem if I go through US Immigration with passport A and give my fingerprints, then later in the year go through US Immigration with passport B and give my fingerprints again? Will I flag up on their system as having entered already with a different passport?
thank you and sorry for the questions!

You don't have to cancel the ESTA - it means nothing until you actually use it. When you arrive on the A class visa passport they may ask you if you are using the visa or the ESTA if it's not obvious from the forms you hand them.
Work should know whether there will be a problem or not later using a different passport - I really doubt it though, and if there is there will be a way round it.0 -
I also applied and recieved my own ESTA, then had to travel to US with work who applied for ESTA for everyone in the group. How do I know which ESTA application US immigration used so I can use it again when I next travel.0
