Can I get this default removed?

On 20/08/2004 I was defaulted by Woolwich (Barclays) for £394.00.

This amount was made up entirely of bank charges for unauthorised overdraft and unpaid items (eg direct debits) etc.

The amount was settled in full on 12/11/2006.

I am now in the process of reclaiming £1692.00 of charges back from the Woolwich, although the claim is currently on hold.

My question is can I get this default removed? If so can it be done now as the charges are in dispute, or do I have to wait until the claim is settled?

Finally if it is possible how do I do it?

Many thanks

Craig

You have to wait until the claim is settled. If it is settled for more than the amount you were defaulted then I think you have an argument that had it not been for bank charges you would not have been defaulted.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
