Smilers, did you ever get your chair and if so what model did they actually deliver?
I know I've left it rather late but am wondering whether this deal might still be available.

I bought a venice chair recently. It is a beautiful thing but unfortunately rather too large for my smallish study. Am wondering what to do with it! Any suggestions?

Yes, received it on Tuesday, the chair is the Rimini, as advertised, however still a great chair at an excellent price.

Let people know your approximate area ;) someone might be interested in taking it off your hands..

Can anyone let me know if there are any problems with the chair "sinking" and having to use the gas lift to increase the height of the chair? I have a chair I purchased from Viking a while back and it exhibits this problem and it has advanced to such a level that the chair is constantly at the lowest possible height and will not maintain height when lifted at all. I got it december 2004. I weigh about 16 stone and use the chair quite alot, but I believe the problem with the chair sinking was a fault with the mechanism itself.

I would probably rather spend £120 on a better chair and have it last 10 years than buy another cheapie from Viking and have it last just over one year.

I got the rimini for £38.76 delivered.

Ordered easter sunday, received on wednesday

Took about half an hour to assemble, a decent leather-faced chair for the price.

I was hoping to get the venice (as a couple of others have done), but I got the rimini - i suppose it'll have to do... *sigh*

As it was my first order, I also got a free coffee maker via a code (use the search to find it) -- looks very nice, but i've yet to try it!

A comfortable leather chair and a coffee maker for £38 is great!

    Thanks to OP

    I am near Hertford!
  • Viking have their leather-faced chair back at a reasonable price again ...

I got one of these the last time it was advertised and it's great!

Don't know how long this will be around for as it tends to go back up in price after a few weeks.

Hope this is helpful to someone and sorry if it has already been posted, but I haven't seen it up on the board.

    thanks this is great!
do u know how much delivery wil cost?
  • Found this on the site ...

We offer a 48 hour delivery service. All deliveries are free for orders over £35. Orders below £35 will incur a small delivery charge of £3.95. For the Channel Islands and other offshore islands, please add £11.75 for delivery. Some items, such as furniture, may require additional delivery time. If you have questions about delivery, please ring us at 0800-1971747 and we will be glad to assist you.

So this will make the chair £33.94 but there may be something else on the site that may be good value to take you to £35.
