House contents - Legal expenses/cover

Hi,
I just wondered if the legal cover would cover a problem I have just had with a neighbours decrepit fence? Basically there fence is old and is now leaning in my garden. With the recent winds we've had here, there broken fence post has hit mine and its broken 2 of my panels and done some other damage.
As I've recently took out a new policy - 2 days ago - would I be covered for this? I haven't got cover for my garden from what I've read.
