Mobile broadband abroad

I have a mobile broadband dongle which works very well.

It dawned on me that this would be a cost effective way to have internet access when abroad. Does anyone know if I can get a PAYG mobile broadband dongle to use in Spain? If so, can I buy this in the UK, or do I have to wait until I get there

Thanks

Jim

I'm sure these plans exist in Spain like they do here.

Whatever you do, do not use a UK one in spain, the data will be charged at several pounds per megabyte.

You have to ring your provider to enable your PAYG dongle to be used overseas. However, it's £7.50 per mb downloaded, so be very careful!

You can buy a dongle in spain, google online for your prefered network.

If you are going to a tourist trap you will almost certainly find a local hotel, bar, cafe with a free hotspot. Internet cafes are popular and cheap in spain. You might be interested in this > http://www.masmovil.es/en-EN/201.php

However my suggestion is to leave the laptop at home and enjoy your holiday.

Don't worry, the laptop is just to do some research on outings etc, No plans to do any work!
