Maybe you're tying them too tight? I very rarely have trouble with them, but it might be worth just using the cheap ones and put one inside another?
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • it does not seem to be the problem with tying to tight as they seem to
split the minute i start filling them up, and though one bag inside a other
is good idea, its frustrating that i have to use 2 bags.

I buy the packs of 10 from lidl for £1.49 and find them very good and they are quite a bit bigger than the normal bin bags.

I buy the Baco bin bags £1.29 in Home Bargains and would recommend those - they are huge and really thick too. I've never had one split yet.

I have had both Aldi and Lidl ones and had no problems.
Asda have a big roll for £1 at the moment with the yellow ties and they are fine.

Lidl bags here too. I make a special trip just to buy them (in bulk), as we are nowhere near a Lidl :p
They are not the cheapest, but very thick, & almost twice the size of normal bin bags. I've never split one, & we really fill them!
  • I dunno, the white bin bags are cool
  • i have tesco's own white ones for tall bins there about £3 but there really strong. much better than black bags.
