Legal and General Part VII GA

Help me with my paranoia! I have received a letter from Legal and General saying that they have had mail returned for my old address and saying that they believe I now live here (eg my present address). They are right as my home insurance is with Legal and General.
In the letter it says "its important we keep in touch to send you information about your policy. We can't send you relevant information or update your details until you confirm your address". When I contacted them they were extremely coy as to what it was about and would only tell me its to do with a Nationwide Life policy. I did have one of these but I left my old property 3-4 years ago and have not paid any money into it so I assume it has lapsed.
I don't want to fall into some trap about owing them loads of money (I am debt free and just cannot see how I would, I mean it was just a insurance policy). Do you think I answer the letter and confirm my address.
NB The letter has a Part VII GA reference on it
Thanks

If you haven't paid into it for years it's probably lapsed by now anyway, and you shouldn't have to pay them any money unless you actually want the policy. Unfortunately the only people that can tell you the exact details are legal and general themselves.
Yes I think you should write back to them to confirm your address, and in that letter you can also ask for the full details.0
