Travel Insurance

Can anyone recommend a good reasonably priced company for travel insurance?

My partner broke his leg in August and had to get a permanent metal plate screwed into his leg. He is no longer receiving treatment for this although has "check-up" x-rays every 2 months. He can walk unaided. This seems to be adding a much bigger cost to insurance than I had anticiapted.

We are going on a cruise this year which has an indoor climbing wall onboard which we intend to make use of. This also seems to be adding quite a bit on, also other activities ie. ice skating which I thought would be a basic one included.

Many thanks for any help!

Cruising is ALWAYS more expensive because the restricted medical facilities on board and the cost (Helecopter/Lifeboat/Divert ship to port) if you need hospital treatment.

Try insureandgo.com - you'll need to call and expl med history and ask about ice skating/rock climbing.

try travelinsuranceweb - plus they give CB on quidco!
  • Thanks everyone!

I used theycompare.co.uk and travelinsuranceweb came out cheaper than original quote from insureandgo.

    Many thanks!

Sunshine you fell for theycompares spam, they are promoting their company on MSE and we don't like that on MSE. Its all about MSE members giving impartial advice to other members. Its deliberately advert free so the advice/opinions are unbiased.

Well done though and I'm glad those spammers were more expensive
