Balance Transfer & Future Spending

Currently have a £400 balance on my Halifax credit card. The interest free period has just ended, so am thinking of switching to the M&S card which is 0% on balance transfers for 6 months and 0% on purchases for 10 months.
If I balance transfer the £400, I will still get the benefit of 0% on any future purchases on the M&S card won't I? I just read Martin's tip on never spending on a balance transfer card and wondered if I was missing something?!
Thanks!
