Buying disney tickets on eBay - help!

Hi.
I think I may have done something only Dumbo would be proud of!
I have bought some Disneyland Paris tickets from a seller in France on eBay.
10 days have passed since I paid via paypal and I still have not received them and the seller has not responded to any messages sent.
They wrote to say they had been posted but since then nothing.
We travel to France at the end of this week and I am becoming concerned.
We have received other things posted later from France too.
Two questions please-
How long should I wait until I contact eBay / paypal?
Will I be covered by payment protection? On the auction page and paypal site it said I would but I have never used it before for getting money back.
Thanks, gc

As it has been more than 7 days since you won, then open the dispute, but do not hold your breath for them arriving in time for your holiday. Besides, unless you paid for/were offered an express international service, then it could take a up to 28 days before the French postal system considers them as lost.
You may well have the money waiting for you when you get back home. You may even have the tickets to resell again.
Anything you buy that is time sensitive should always be sent by a guaranteed service - if the seller doesnot offer this, then ask them if they will if you pay the extra, or find a seller who does offer it.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
Many thanks for the advice stevew, I had tod the seller our travel dates and they informed me thetickets were psoted immediately.
I managed to speak to someone at paypal who said that I will be covered if the tickets don't arrive - so at least I can go and buy some more - from the Disney store this time!0
