I have just cleared out my parents house and have numerous duvets, blankets and pillows. Are there any charities that would be glad of them? I live in Kettering, Northamptonshire so something local would be good.
Any ideas?

Have you tried the local Salvation Army, I'm fairly certain they took some stuff when we cleared my aunts house out in Kettering, although that was about 15 years ago. They may not take pillows, but blankets and sheets that can be washed I'm sure they'll take.Woofles you need to get out of that house. You are going insane:eek: - colinw
apologises for spelling mistakes - google toolbar and I have had a hissy fit and I've lost me spell checker.0 -
I'm sure your local cat and dog shelter would be very grateful to receive them.0

If they are good condition and english/welsh/scottish pure wool sell them for charity. I have sold my mothers on ebay and been very surprised at the amount I got for them I parcel them up in a new tesco bag for life.0

Any homeless/street charities in your area may be interested. Other than that if you freecycle them you may find people who would be glad of them. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

I'm really glad you're doing this, so many people would have just binned them! As well as all the other brilliant suggestions, you could try your local domestic violence refuge or you could try contacting your local neonatal or midwifery ward...sometimes they like to take blankets for children so that if they pass away the parents can keep a blanket that smells like their child.0
