Car hire Malaga with glass & locks covered

Hi everyone
I am going to malaga for 4 days this weekend and cant seem to find a good deal on car hire where glass and locks are covered. Carjet seem to offer the best price with cdw included but crucially it says you are responsible for glass and lock damage. Now I know that Spain can be a bit dodgy regards car crime so this seems a little bit risky to accept this liability. I know I could probably go with Avis etc and get full cover but the price is too expensive. Carjet (and a few others )want around £60 for the 4 days for a ford fusion or equivalent which seems really good but theres just the glass issue..Does anyone know of a company who cover glass and lock damage who are also inexspensive ??? Would appreciate any help as I,ve spent 2 nights working on this and its doing my head in..

Hi
I fly into Malag about 4-6 times a year (my in-laws live near there) When they first moved out they hired a car but I'm not sure who it was from.
To be honest with my experience of Spain you need to be more worried about your car aerial!
Will try to get some info from my in-laws asap!

I have used Skycars.com several times, and it always comes up with Autos Benelux https://www.beneluxcar.com as a good deal for me. Office is opposite Malaga airport, their guy picks you up at arrivals. Their cars are generally OK, but as with all companies, check before you leave the office for damage in the busy season. I looked at my last paperwork and can't see an exclusion for glass and locks - but you should check that for yourself.
Other company I used is https://www.holidaygolf.com or .es
Hope this helps, Bob.0 -
Carjet's suppliers at Alicante and Murcia will cover wheels and tyres for 10EUR and glass for a further 5EUR - all per hire, not per week. Haven't tried to see if they'll do glass alone for 5 EUR!!! I'm not aware that locks are excluded from their general all-inc cover.0

Thanks LesD for the reply, now that I know I can take out extra insurance for the glass then I will probably go with carjet as they will be cheaper even with this extra insurance...Thanks to everyone else who replied....No man is an island ....unless his name is Madagascar!0

Remember that Carjet are just brokers. When you get a confirmed booking, check with the named supplier what their policy is. If it's not satisfactory, ask Carjet to change the supplier. They have done that in the past for us with no bother at all.0
