Taking BT to Court?? - hellllllllppppp!!!!!

In 2007 BT cut my business phone line off in error for 1 day - after persuing thru Otelo I was awarded £350 compensation and an additional £100 for lack of customer services.
In May 2008 I was once again without my telephone line for 4 days this time. I was continually lied to by the staff and spent 4 days chasing them. They originally offered me £375 compensation to which I declined. It was then sent to another department where I had to 'prove' 'Actual Financial Loss'. They then reduced the amount offered to £150!!
Otelo have once again investigated and agreed that I am entitled to compensation, but their Provisional Conclusions suggests that BT reinstate the original offer of £375 and send me a written apology!!! - I am not happy with this!!
I took the opinion that if I was awarded £350 for 1 day and £100 lack of customer services - times this by the four days and I would be a happy?
Is this an unreasonable assumption, would I succeed in court. How do I take them to court?
How on earth do you 'prove' an actual financial loss, in a growing business? The telephone line is used for phone, fax, internet, payzone, bill payment and utility top-ups etc etc and is still growing, this has not been taken into considersation.
Please help!!!!

Sounds like you run a local paper shop or something similar? I do not know how you can show how much prospected business you would have lost but I would think you are not being unreasonable, would have thought there would have been a sliding scale though
ie
1 Day loss £375
1-5 Day Loss £ 1100 etc
Take them to court IMHO0 -
Just take the money!. think your self lucky.Kind Regards

Yeah, even if you get double in settlement, would it be worth the fight? I don't think so. I would take the money and move on.
Have you thought of having a second phone line installed, it might give you a bit of security if the same happens again in the future.0 -
If you were to convert the time you've spent on this already to net profit, what would the amount be?

Take the money.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac
