Id card -expiry date for life how do i do check in online ryanair ?? Help

Hello!

Im new to the forum and I have an urgent question.. I just hope someone will be able to help me!!!

I have some people from portugal coming to london for a weekend visit. One of them has a ID card but its expiry date is for life. I was doing check in online but ryanair does not give me the possibility to enter a for life ID card.. what should I do??? Leave it blank or put a random number??

    To come to the UK they will need to use a passport as far as I am aware. That is what you should be putting into the Ryanair website.

    No - you can travel within the EU using your national ID card. I have no idea what Ryanair will consider acceptable.

    Haven't come across this situation... if the form will accept leaving it blank I would do that - otherwise I suspect that putting in some date far in the future will be fine.

    That is correct, except it is citizens from the EEA who can travel on National ID Cards. This is slightly more nations than the EU.

    It's mentioned in all their T&C... while international travel without a passport may seem strange to us, it's just normal for people from many other EU countries.
