I've just noticed that the Create credit card has closed its doors to new business. What are the likely implications for exisitng customers? If there is no requirement for a credit card to stay competitive in luring new signings, can APRs hit the roof?

Accucard (http://www.accucard.com/) also appears to have stopped new applicants from it's own website (sometime within the last 24 hours...!) and from the Texaco Card co-brand (http://www.texacocard.co.uk/).
Not sure if this is going to gradually spread to all the co-brand cards? Or if existing customers will eventually end up getting their cards changed to some other (comparatively poor) card from Lloyds TSB?student100 hasn't been a student since 2007...0
