Have you tried another sim in it ? otherwise sounds like the handset has been barred...contact your service provider and give them the mobile number of the sim that was in the phone...and they'll be able to tell you if its barred or not...Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0

You need to phone the telephone company, or try a friend's sim, Do you know the history of the phone, has it ever worked for you?Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0

also try cleaning the points and the sim card if it's a known phone. I get this with my old nokia (backup) phone, sometimes takes several times of inserting the sim before it registers4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

So you're not trying to use it in a different phone, it has worked in this phone before? What network is the SIM?

If you have had the sim for some time then it will no longer be valid?
