Oh for goodness sake: sit next to him on the interview sofa and take some limelight for your self

    I don't do limelight.

ok, well, a littl sidelight. You'll look insignificant next to huge Max anyway, so you wouldn't be too exposed. We'll find yu zebra print to get over the trauma....;)

    How intriguing.

Re the fishnets, fc- is this really the mainstream fashion direction for a couple of months ahead? How interesting - just on legs, or elsewhere? Trying to imagine fishnet blouses or something - failing....

I can't remember when the blog idea first came up in the thread...page 30 perhaps? It was in the context of Max's skills and his writing being engaging and easy to read, so why not try for a writing job of some sort...then practise by doing a blog, then getting a few quid from google ads (PN's speciality).
Dopestar wasn't keen (bit of an understatement) so Max decided that was a good enough reason to do it.
He got 1000 views after the first week I believe.

Wide gauge mesh (sort of vegetable bag feel) as a whole, entire dress. Plus some with just panels for a more modest look. It's a mating game look which I figured could be a tiny bit more recession proof.

Some mesh ones going online tomo at some point in 'just in' for those that know where to look. Very subtle though.

Imagine this upstanding member of our society wearing one of those?

I have a solution - send her over to Zimbabwe. she could feed a couple of dozen families for quite a while.

And dont tell me to feel 'sorry' for her. Because quite franky, I couldnt care less if she starved. (Unlikely, I very much doubt she would stay on the scam for long, she would have to get a job to pay for all those tescos biccies and space invaders!

Hello... those 1000 views and friendly responses don't help pay the bills, or boost his £60pw-odd JSA allowance.

I'll agree the blog is interesting, and hope he lands one of the jobs he's interviewed for. The sooner the blog is defunct due to Max landing a paying job to get him off JSA and benefits the happier I will be. Up to you if you're going to be comfortable reading his benefits blog in 6+ months time. I don't wish that on him.

The reasons I disagreed with the blog.... if I wasn't already content with what I was doing, I've got enough skills and initiative to seize many honest self-employed opportunities to beat JSA by a fair amount.

That is where all my energy would be going.. getting an income in. Not dossing around with a blog which gives others some pleasure but makes no money.

It is a big outside gamble that his blog/experience is going to be picked up by a publisher publisher for lots of money, or lead to a well-paid job, with many a professional journo / creative type struggling. Possible, and were it too happen.. great, but unlikely.

BTW.. Phirefly I think... I was never "rubbing my paws together with glee" at the prospect of Max STRing his mortgage-free house. It was something else entirely. A defensive strategy.. which I put to him may see him better off in the long term, but it's been argued out now... and "residential-security" (whatever the hell that is) won out.

I am outraged by how much she gets/what for .... DLA because she was fat and depressed (probably about being fat)... get a grip. She should get £60/week like Max does. Greedy fat cow.

And reading what food she eats .... no wonder she's a fat biffer.

Can't afford to eat healthily ... pfft. Vegetable soups and vegeable curries and veggie stews, omelettes, jacket spuds, jacket spuds topped with beans ... all good stuff and cheap! Even giant yorkshire puddings filled with mash and a couple of sausages can be low calorie!

Max has a great writing style and he's using his experience to gain more writing opportunities. As he is seeking writing work, it might provide him with the all-important portfolio for a couple of gigs... you can never tell. And he's learning other skills along the way too. There's more to blogging than being able to think up a sentence.

Residential security is knowing you can sit around in your pants for a year and nobody wants to knock on your door to do an inspection, or put the rent up. Nobody fails to respond to your calls to say something's broken.

Man and pants ... in perfect harmony.

And neither do they cost anything. At all. Not one penny.

Why should anyone feel uncomfortable reading it in six months time if I'm still unemployed? (Or even if I'm not, might still keep it going, who knows). They won't have contributed to that state of unemployment or be benefiting from it in any way (other than hopefully enjoying the blog).

The reasons I disagreed with the blog.... if I wasn't already content with what I was doing, I've got enough skills and initiative to seize many honest self-employed opportunities to beat JSA by a fair amount.

    Such as?

It's not a gamble at all since I'm not doing it for that reason. It's a lovely idea and I'd love it if it happened, but realistically it's such a small chance that I'm hardly banking on it.

Out of interest, how long do you think I spend a day writing it?

BTW.. Phirefly I think... I was never "rubbing my paws together with glee" at the prospect of Max STRing his mortgage-free house. It was something else entirely. No, you were simply advocating my selling, and selling cheap, because it suited you and your position for people to be selling up cheaply.

"Residential security" (odd term) perhaps refers to a state whereby one owns ones house outright rather than having to find the money for it every month and being at the mercy of the landlord or the bank if you cannot find that money.

A good position to be in if money is tight, and an odd thing to be encouraging someone to give up in the circs really, other than with an ulterior motive.

A difficult concept to grasp perhaps? :)
