I'd Max over her any day, which is weird because he and I have almost nothing in common!
Me too..I am addicted to her column and she drives me nuts..I end up growling as I read it.....addictively.;)
I wonder if I find her annoying as she reminds me of who I may (big 'may' too) have become, 25 years ago,had my life gone in a different direction. I had an ex friend who did end up like her, bemoaning her single 40 something status etc.
I read her horse stuff and I must say, LIR I have never heard you refer to booking the horse an amotherapist (sic??) / hypnotherapist/ , etc at any point. I figure you know a lot about horseys too.
I prefer Maxes too but he does say funny things like, ''attractive if a bit slim'' which I find really funny. He'd get told off if he had said ''Attractive if a bit stout''. He likes the bigger girls does Max.;)0 -

Oops just remembered that this thread is the boards female refuge.
Apologies for the intrusion ladies.

Yeah Actually Liz and I have some not disimialr points of common ground with horses care too...only from avery different standpoint, which makes the same product choice for example wildly different. I imagine, putting my grumpy side in its box, she is a very good horse owner and caring pet owner. Ultimately, in the lir household thats important: and th little things shouldn't matter so much, so Yay for good animal owners.0

I can't stand how wet she is about men. I would have booted that lazy sponging shagger husband after six weeks.0 -
I've never heard of her ... but then I don't buy papers, have never read middle-class twaddle in columns .... and I think it's mainly London-centric people that would do so0

Hey, I'm London-centric, don't buy papers either - read them all online (doesn't everyone?) - but I've never read her either.
Just discovered this thread - is it true that it's the girly thread?
If so - what a relief. I needed somewhere to discuss knitting patterns and Johnny Depp.
And the boys are arguing over 0.1% on the other thread.
I think they're a bit paranoid about measuring things....

You can't beat a bit of Middle Class Twaddle to make you feel better about things.
She's not 'London' based any more but sold up nice Georgian pile, 2 years ago, in Islington and bought a 43 acre farm on Exmoor. Luckily for her, she earns her living from writing....so the farm gave her something to write about...so earning her more ££££...to subsidise the farm and her expensive animal welfare habits.....so she had something to write about.
Kind of relevant to Maxes thread.
I am trying to work out how to do the same thing myself...run something for the love of it (but achingly unprofitable as such things tend to be) but write about it in a Middle Class Sunday targeted at Middle Class Twaddle lovers....and get paid.

It's not really girly but we do congregate here as Max is sooo Metrosexual.
No measuring on here.
