Any Tips for Using DBan?

I am going to use Dban on my old pc, before reinstalling xp. Is it relatively easy? Ive installed the Dban file to a floppy disc and will boot up using this. I believe its best to use the Dban's Auto option and then I expect it will take a few hours?
Once it is done do I reboot using my XP disc?

Yep it's easy just follow the on screen prompts, the FAQ is here: http://www.dban.org/faq
Once it's done, reboot with the XP disc and format and reinstall.0 -
Make sure you've backed everything up first! :eek:Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

If you are keeping the machine why bother with this? A simple format would be a lot quicker and achieve the same end. Unless you are expecting a visit from plod sometime soon of course.0

She is giving the machine to someone else (it's from another thread), hence our recommendations to use DBAN, which achieves an awful lot more than a format.0 -
