Paypal - eBay listing removed and payment reversed?

Hi
I've been browsing these forums for some time now, but finally plucked up the courage to join so I could get some answers to a problem I have.
So, yesterday evening I sold an item and the buyer paid. Then early this morning I received a message from Paypal which said eBay listing removed, and when I logged into my Paypal account it told me:
"This payment has been selected for review and we have opened an investigation. We have determined that this payment was not authorised by the PayPal account holder. We have placed a temporary hold on the funds until the investigation is complete. Please provide some additional information about this transaction."
So, when I provided additional information, about a second later I got an email saying:
"We've concluded our investigation into the transaction detailed below. Because you did not meet the eligibility requirements for the PayPal Seller Protection Policy, you will be charged for this reversed transaction. We've returned the funds to the PayPal account holder. Your account will be debited for the amount of this transaction."
In addition to all that, I've found that another listing I had active has been removed, and that I can no longer log in to my eBay account (I'm guessing my account is suspended). Any ideas why this has happened and what I should do about it?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Why was your listing removed, that is the important bit. For you not to have been covered under seller protection it has to be somethign like an intangible good, or service, or maybe something that breaches ebay rules or a fake.
Once you know why your listings breach the rules you can sort that out and maybe even appeal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The listings concerned were a DVD boxset, and the other a pair of jeans. Both of which were genuine, and I've sold similar items before with no problems at all. I don't know how I can find out the reason why they were removed if my account has been suspended, and eBay sent me no emails (I've checked the spam).0 -

Once you're suspended getting though to ebay is very difficult."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Hmm, odd terms of any sorts, excessive postage? Or are you connected or share an address with anyone who has had an account suspended before?
Despite being suspended ebay should still have details on you that you can question, and if I were you I would want to know why I was suspended.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No none that are obvious to me - postage was free! My brother has an eBay account and as far as I know his is doing just fine.
I've just found eBay have sent 6 messages to me, but I can't log in to see them because my username and password don't work. Any ideas?
I think I'll try to contact eBay by email and see if I can get through. Unless anyone can think of anything else?
Thanks for all your help - you've all been excellent!0 -
All copies of email messages will be copied to your registered email address as well so check that.
Another thought would be a hack especially if someone got you via a hotmail or Yahoo account as that might be the reason you were not seeing the ebay emails. Go check your email address, see if there is any block on ebay messages or if anyone has fiddled with any of your email settings, then change the passwords on everything online that goes via your email address. Then go to techie board and ask for advice on a thorough clean in case you have something nasty lurking.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Having contacted eBay through the live chat, my eBay account had, right enough, been hacked. I don't know how it happened, but I've changed my passwords for anything connected to eBay.
Thank you very much for all your help,

My hacker was for real though - he/she opened up a shop and listed loads of items (don't know what they were). All in US dollars... They all got deleted and nothing was charged to my account.
It's a shame, because I had a sale and was ready to post it.0
