The funniest thing was his choice of threads for his protest - here, mystery shopping, Avon hints and tips.....he was hardly going to bring the forum to a standstill was he... :rotfl:

You know tv shows that are available on the net, like all of the episodes of desperate housewives season 5 I've missed. How do you download them and put them on a dvd so I can watch them on the telly and not the computer? anyone know? or aren't you allowed to do that.:A

lol, yeah i was only jestins. but sometimes profanity does bring text to life.. like you wouldnt go see billy connelly live and expect him to "keep it clean" would you.
swearing etc is part of life and been around for hundreds of years, if we aint used to it now what next.
so come on, whats all our top 5 non-swearing naughty words?
I wouldn't go to see him just because of his language.
Shame really beacause he is extremely talented and has no need to sink to the gutter in order to be funny.
The trouble is that people who use such words do not really mean them to be so offensive - to them they are merely adjectives. Unfortunatelythey will always remain offensive to those who were around when the words were first introduced and intended to be so.
That probably did not make sense. Rant over.0 -
Evening all!
I've finally got through the past 3 days worth of threads and forgot nearly everything I meant to reply to!
@ Toto - I'm really sorry to hear about your wrist. I hope you work out a new job soon. I agree with everyone else who said you should work with special needs children, I think you'd be really good at that.
@ whatatwit - Thanks for letting everyone know I'm back.
It's been a fun weekend at my mum's. She signed up for TalkTalk on Sat ( :j ) then we went shopping (I got some new shoes and some Body Shop wild cherry body butter) and then watched Eurovision in the evening. Some really good acts and I'm glad we did so well. Then I just chilled out on Sun.
It's been a long drive back today, lots of rain and hanging about in service stations. first waiting for it to stop raining then waiting for rush hour to be over. But I got back eventually.
I'm just sending a quick e-mail to my tutor about an essay then going to sleep. Talk tomorrow.

It's all a bit of a legal grey area. Putting them onto DVD seems to be where the question mark appears because all DVD conversion programmes cost and have loads of warning labels on them about copyright.
If your TV has a PC output though, you can just plug your computer into your TV. Problem solved.
Downloading can cause problems with your computer though, there's important measures to take to avoid viruses/goverment.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

That makes sense, I've seen some download these shows websites and they look a bit dodgy to me, all sorts of software stuff to download.
But good idea gem, I'll just take the laptop upstairs and plug that in problem solved. Thanks honey x:A
