Anyone hoping to use this at Mr T may have an uphill struggle. It's the wrong type of barcode. It is not the universal barcode starting 99. It will not be recognised by Mr T's tills and therefore most likely NOT be accepted. It would need a supervisor override and have to be entered an a non-scan - something Mr T does not like.
Thanks a bunch Morrisons/The Scum or whoever for nothing.
You could actually try using it in Morrisons :rolleyes:0 -

Last year when this offer was on Tescos did accept it. They do not normally take other store vouchers but if vouchers are for something like £5 off a £30 shop they usually do. I'm going to risk buying the sun today anyway. You could always ask if they were taking them at the customer service desk before you bought the paper.
Have just rang customer services and they confirmed they will be taking them

Lady was not sure at first but went to check while I was waiting. Said she would be getting one herself.0 -
I phoned my local Tesco and they said no they aren't accepting the £5 Morrisons voucher from the Sun.0

I rang them recently re Waitrose coupon, and they said they take conditional spend coupons, I therefore used that one easily; also i use sainsburys coupons at T's as the checkout girl was first to tell me she uses hers there.SIMPLES!0 -
I have been refused today at my local T's which is usually a very moc friendly store. The Waitrose one has a 99 barcode, so no manual intervention required... this one does not have a T-recognised format of barcode, and the supervisor, when aksed, stated that they were not accepting these. Oh well.... now let me check where my nearest Morrisons is...0

I think everyone should phone customer services. Perhaps it will get them to send a memo to the stores so we can all take advantage of the offer.
Trelawney on discounts codes and vouchers has actually used one successfully.0 -
Everybody phone today, this is our chance to get all stores to understand conditional spend vouchers. I phoned and was told yes.

Just rang the 0800 number. I was assured that my local store at Wath near Rotherham will accept the voucher. This is because there is a Morrisons about 3 miles away. The lady had to ask the duty manager and I had to give my post code. I suggest ringing the 0800 505555 number as Claire21 suggested and checking your local stores policy.0
