I told moorcroft this and they laughted (gits). I hope it's true though as I'd love to reduce some payments.Barclaycard 3800

Talk to them like it's common sense and "duuuh" them and they will actually go and check instead of laugh at you >:^)0

No, there's no rule. There is, however, a strong argument that someone on income support (or JSA) by definition has only enough income to meet basic needs and so shouldn't pay more than token payments.
Your household income is above that level but your problem is that you have 6k of debt with any surplus income likely to be take by the OR in an income payment order. So I think the same argument applies.
I suggest you contact your creditors through a fee-free debt help organisation. You have used CCCS before, why not again?

With benefit payments, you should make sure you have a (basic if needs be) account with a bank that is NOT affiliated with any of your debtors. I.e. if you have debt on your barclaycard, make sure your benefits are not paid into a bank/building society that is owned by the Barclays group.
I will see if I can find a link to any articles/sites that tell you who is linked with who."I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0 -
They also still have postoffice accounts and allthough I know they can be a pest they are just for benefits. also if you have a familymember living nearby that you trust you can ask to have the benefits paid into their account so your debtors can't get to it
Good luck0 -
i suggest a token £1,00 payment stick your heals in and they will not get any more even if they take you to court, unsecured debt is difficult to get back if its all you can afford thats all you have to pay ignore dca silly requests etc all hot air reguards this in the large scheam of things is peanuts dont worry about it andrew0
