I've seen it three times. :D

There's some innuendo-filled lines and the lead characters get it on (not blatantly - kiss and fade to black, wake up next morning). He might be young enough that most of it would go over his head? It's Ben Elton written and very funny, but again the jokes might be lost on him.

It is a fantastic show - my favourite in the West End (even pipping the Lion King which I've seen three times as well lol). The band are phenomenal and if you like Queen music it's a great experience. Your son might not follow the plot but the music is almost non-stop so he'll be entertained.

On the other hand, the Lion King is more guaranteed child-friendly. Have you seen the film? At the start, when they do the presentation of Simba, they have all the animals come down the aisles to the stage so if you're in the stalls it's great. :)
  • Not sure if you were looking at tickets in London, but I know it's showing in Manchester. If you are looking for good offers for We Will Rock You in Manchester then there are some great ones about.

I've just got tickets for £10!! And that was for the best tickets in the house.

You need to join the Manchester theatres mailing list first but it's free and easy.

    Check out manchestertheatres.com/offers-rockyoumatinee.htm

Theres also a buy two tickets and save £25 which might be a good option

Hope this helps. Sorry you'll need to copy and paste those links in because it won't let me post links because Im new!! :)
  • I agree with sarah_elton - its very entertaining as a performance, some of the jokes and perhaps the storyline might go over his head abit but the show will not disappoint. I've been twice and I was with a large group of Italian kids whose English wasn't great, but they all loved it.
