Hello folks, I'm new around here and I was wondering about these company's that offer to find a clause in loan agreements that enable them to get you out of repaying the outstanding balance, anybody know or, had any dealings with any of them and, what was the outcome?

If it involves you paying them a fee then probably it is a scam.
You can do what they do for free or you could just pay back what you borrowed.0 -

LOL...it doesn't take long for the moral crusaders to pounce on these threads does it...
You didn't even ask why they were asking about unenforceability, i.e. do they just want to avoid responsibility? or are they being sqeezed for extortionate interest? is the lender trying to take their house for a £4,000 debt? Are they being harrassed by a scum bag debt collector who bought the debt for a pittance??
But why let anthing get in the way of a good old bit of self righteous moral preaching.. eh crusaders??0 -

I've had 5 Credit Cards and Loans made unenforceable through the courts, going back upto 3 years ago, so I guess you could say I was one of the first to do so. I am awaiting an appeal on a further Card. I also have 2 others threatening Court Action. In all I will have evaded paying nearly 40k.
Last week I had one of the other 2 outstanding accounts ring me and said I had a 'moral' obligation to pay. This was from a debt collector, saying I had no 'morals'.:D
I think it is also very important to point out that they aren't actually 'written off'. They are just made unenforceable in court, which means that the debt collectors can't chase them through the courts or harass you for payment. Being technical about it, it is not actually written off, but essentially it is the same.
I defended myself in all cases.

PS Just for interest - what is the difference between a bankrupt who writes off hi/her debts, and somebody who uses the law to make CCA's unenforceable??Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -

More moral whining....what gives you guys the right to judge anybody??
The government never took your moral opinions into consideration when passing the laws which state certain agreements are unenforceable so why should anyone else..... (rhetorical)0 -
What gives you the right to ask people what gives them the right? Furthermore why do you spend so much time on a moral crusade against those who you judge to be on a moral crusade?0
