credit score/report Aliases !!!

Options
Hi
When I completed the info required when joining (for the 30 day trial !) Credit Expert (Experian), it asked me for any other names that I had been known as. I put down my maiden name , pre 1991, along with my current name.
It has come back that I have 6 ALIASES , my current address and my previous two addresses, with my name and my aka (maiden name).
Won't this look bad on my report at first glance if the potential lender doesn't look deeper to discover why, surely it can't affect my credit rating ?

How far back do these aliases go, and how recently did they stablise down to your 'current alias?'
    Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries

    Thankyou
OK, but this is the only way I can explain how it is on credit report:

Until 1991 I was Miss W......., got married and became Mrs H ......

    1996-2007 (11 years) lived at x address

2007-2008 lived at y address (my moms house whilst my newly bought house was being renovated, so informed bank/insurances etc of this temporary address)

    Apr 2008 - to date = z current address

For each of thes addresses the report is showing Mrs S .... also known as Miss S ......

    Therefore 3 addresses x 2 names = 6 aliases !

Perhaps I didn't need to put my maiden name down as this was quite a long time ago, as seems to have confused the issue, but it did ask for ALL the names I had been known by.

You can get them to correct all this if if you feel it is misleading

    Hi

I did try to edit the report today online, but it said that if I was changing my name I would need to send in certificate, deed poll etc , but of course, I am not trying to change my name, just want to delete my maiden name.

Do you think if I phone them, and explain, that they will remove it

Had a thought, what if I cancel my "free" trial with them asap, leave it a few weeks and re apply completing this part of the form as only Mrs H..... ie not known as another name.

Or would this renewed application be turned down ?

I'm the same I gave them my maiden name and now I have all these aliases attached! Sorry I gave it them now, I guess yes use it once to show your previous name. Unless you have been married quite a few times:eek: Think I will write to them.......

You can't get the free trial more than once.

I don't think this is an issue at all.
Why do you think it's an issue for your creditworthiness?
Most people get married and have a previous name.

Yes, you are correct, and I thought that too, but the "profile details that can affect your credit score" (quote) is where this information shows up.

ANYWAY, Have just spoken to Experian, and it will NOT affect any searches.
