Don't get caught in the debt trap, overdraft, extend overdraft, credit card to help you out extend credit card debt then loan to consolidate debt then offer you more credit, nip it in the bud get it sorted out and you will save yourself years of grief.

Good bit of advice is that. I wish I had some of that when I was young and foolish!

    Thanks for the advice all.

I pretty much followed all of it and i am slowly getting back on the right track while enduring being beyond poor. I didn't take out a credit card or anything in the end and now feel glad.

I did however sign up for the Experian Trial. I now wish to cancel it, could anyone inform me how to do so as i cannot find anything on the website at all?

    :D

They refused to do this and in general i did a lot of chasing around before finally speaking to a nice woman at the Collections Department who agreed to just wait until my wage came in to pay off the money without me being fined etc any further. My wage finally comes in tomorrow and it'll be another tight month but i am determined to be out of debt by the end of '09 without borrowing any more money from anywhere.
