Transfer docs and pics

I am thinking of doing a full system reboot but i have about 500 pics and some doc on the computer i intend to reboot.
how can i transfer the pics and docs to the computer in the bedroom.
The 2 computers are linked by wireless network connection.

If you have Windows XP, share folders on the computer you're going to rebuild and then on the other computer use Windows Explorer to copy the files across. See http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp/filesharing.htm0
