Ok here goes, an attempt at a pic of my onions looking sorry for themselves.
I give up trying to embes them it just does not work!! Thanks for any advice. The veg patch has had fish bone meal I think dug in to it, I water them often and never let them dry out - it looks dry but honestly it was watered last night and has rained a bit today.

Hi SuzieMumjust had a look at your photo and the greenery looks a bit battered.Perhaps the wind is bouncing off the fence they are against and because it has nowhere to go it bashes against the sets.

I would leave them as they are and keep watering them when they look too dry.It mainly is the bulb part that needs to keep healthy as that is the bit you want to store but having said that, you don't want the greenery to rot away as that could then affect the oinion set.

The main thing is not to panic and use everything as a learning curve.I have had an allotment for 29 years and even after all this time I still ahve lots to learn and advice to give, after all that is what we are here for to help each other...

By the way love all your other veggies and you are going to enjoy those peas and peppers:D

Thanks so much! Tomatos doing great too and runner beans. Onions failed in the same spot last year too so might just give up....or build a raised bed in a better spot! Thank you.
