Hence why i said their small effot ;)

Hardly a 'small' effort, there were 3 direct flights a week and it had been going for the last 8 years or so.

Still can't work out why they stopped it though - each time I used this BMI flight it was pretty much full so it must have been making money.

I suppose the BA flights from Heathrow are better than nothing but it's still a 3 hour trek for us, instead of 45 mins to Manchester.

Apart from the Thomas cook filights with their rubbish allowances, I have flown the direct BMI Manchester service a few times and as said it was always full before it was axed.( I think the axing of transatlantic routes was more something to with luftansa taking over than a financial thing). The next time I am flying indrect which adds another 5 hours to the trip:mad:

With prices starting at $461 plus taxes of £300-350 they ain't gonna be cheap.

Was the flight price supposed to be in £, making total of £700 ish? hoped they might do some offers as it is a new route for them

No, I saw the starting price in $$ on a Vegas newspaper site and added the taxes in ££.

Just priced a flight on ba.com and it came out at £732! £496 + £236 taxes. That was just from LHR. Off to see what it would be from ABZ.

Daily service from Heathrow loaded from 25 October. Three class service on a Triple 7.

    BA 275 LHR LAS 15:30 19:20
BA 274 LAS LHR 21:20 14:05* (next day arrival)

Discounted fare classes in any flight classes not yet loaded, so I wouldn't bother checking prices and availability for a few days yet. I'm sure there will be a raft of good deals.
