I'd go for Wordpress - wordpress.org - really easy to use and is also free!0

Blogger is the original, and is totally free (now from Google) as above. Wordpress software is free (from www.wordpress.org), but you'll either need to host it yourself or have it hosted at an ISP/webspace, or you can have a free hosted version, but with limited features, from http://en.wordpress.com0
