Apple - Back to school deals

I've been on here before talking about Imac's and Mac mini's, i did browse them a few months back and they looked plausible in price, but now the new product line is out i really can't justify £500 for a Mac mini. But since i don't need to replace my home computer until Sept/Oct as University is coming to a close this year i can hang on.

I remember somewhere that Mac sometimes run back to school deals around that time? and hopefully prices may have come down a little around then.

If you're a university student, you can get quite a substantial education discount from Apple.

I believe last year they excluded Mac Minis from the promotion because they were giving away the highest level iPod (touch), normally they gave the mid range iPods away - Mini and then Nano which cost less.

It could have all changed this year though. The promotion should start in the US soon and the UK one is normally along the same lines but doesn't start until the end of Sept normally.

Any idea of the discount for students i'm in HE but can't get onto their site without going through the university computers.

It's usually about 14% phone sales and they should tell you. I got 14% of a Mac Book with my sons discount and also £60 rebate (via post) on the £69.95 printer that I bought at the same time.
