Can anyone beat my £75 car insurance for the year??

Hastings Insurance, if that good, could well be described as a 'Grabbit'.
Not a 'Grabbit' for me, it's coming up more expensive than other quotes I've looked at.
Possibly the OP might get more useful advice in the Insurance section of the forum though?
And as for cashback, to echo what has already been said - don't count on it, I'm still waiting for £90 through CashbackKings from a Lloyds house insurance policy I took out 7 months ago.0 -
that's just what I didn't really want to hear.:wall: I spent all day last week trying to bring car insurance (3rd party f&t) down from £1200 (no decimal points!) for my son but despite being a very sensible non-drinking, non-smoking, non- drug-taking lad he is
18
full license for 6 months
1yr ncb
in a very old and cranky peugeot diesel 1.8 206
In September daughter will start to drive, the only silver lining is as a girl the insurance is cheaper (slightly). ...hmmm... maybe son should have a sex change??
Well done op, big saving and fully comp!0 -
Thanks.
Jessicar, no need for advice. I was just asking a question on whether anyone had found better.
And I know all about cashback... better than most
It was the cheapest quote anyway so I'm not relying on the cashback to get a good deal... it's just made it into a super deal! A Monkey is for life, not just for Xmas!

Try phoning up Bell Insurance (part of the Admiral group). They gave me an amazing deal when I first passed my test all those years agoA Monkey is for life, not just for Xmas!

Doesn't sound like it. We can all listen to advice.
You are relying on getting the cashback from this new kid on the block site. In fact cashback from insurance companies is never guaranteed and often reported as not being received.
If you find an obscure cashback operation giving the best deal be wary. Better still, use an established cashback site to improve your chances of getting paid. eg. If you use rpoints, and find a better deal elsewhere they will pricematch the difference.
This particular outfit seem especially tough to deal with (they have no address details on their website, so could be located anywhere in the world - and have all their members bank details).
Also note their attitude if they decide not to pay you the agreed cashback etc:Should you disagree with any adjustments made to your account, your sole remedy is to withdraw from the Program.0 -
Even if the cashback doesn't track and payout, £145 still seems like a very good deal for comprehensive insurance. Could be worth a punt with the cashback if they are the cheapest anyway.
A few things to check on the policy are: courtesy car, protected no claims discount, administration fee on policy changes, excess (check for any "hidden" compulsory excesses), personal belongings cover, comprehensive use abroad, cover for loss of keys, windscreen cover - to name just a few things. You'll be surprised how many people think that all comprehensive policies are the same - they aren't.0 -

Why risk this new anonymous outfit?
There are some established cashback sites who will pricematch the cashback if another site beats them.0 -

That is the first thing that I do when buying a service, check out the company, check out other users experience etc.
If a company has a poor service, then it isn't really cheaper in the long run.0 -

Iam trying to bring down my partners insurance quote down from £290 p/a with Churchill. Best online quote so far is Bell Insurance at £246. Issue is, he only uses the car to go to his part time job which is 3-4 a week. For all other things we use my company car. £246 seems a huge amount for relatively small use. He has been driving for over 15 yrs and the car is 12yrs old. Any advice?Challenges:
