Our little (or not so little) section of the MSE forum website is now on 3000 pages. Surely this must be one (if not the) busiest section on the site?

Martin blogged on it a while ago, but based on views and not postings, so maybe we'd do better given total number of threads or rate of thread starting. Link here
Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.
  • Yeah I suppose it's about objectivity. We don't fair that well in "What's best read."

There's no sub-forums in here and it has been around a while. :)

Didn't they decide it would be worthless sub-dividing the board as most posters wouldn't have a clue which sub-forum to use anyway??

Hardware, software, Home Cinema, Kitchen perephenalia etc etc..

Quite....the current format of this board also allows for the older, solved issues to naturally drop out of the first few pages of viewing, helping keep the focus on newer problems/discussions..let's face it, most people are better off posting a new problem fresh than try trawling through loads of old threads trying to find one which matches thier problem....

..also, as the tools improve, e.g. the introduction of things like MBAM, Combofix, etc...the advice will be more up-to-date in the recent posts..

    my humble opinion, FWIW :)
